Ada’s Magical Birthday

What is it about?

On the birthday morning, a red balloon with a map floats outside the window. Your child holds on tight and flies off – over gardens and rooftops to an island in the clouds. There, bear, rabbit, fox and hedgehog are in the middle of their preparations.

Together they bake the cake, fetch fireflies as candles and conduct a bird orchestra. A cheerful story for reading aloud that makes every birthday special – also as a gift from grandparents or godparents.

Look inside

This is what the book looks like – in your book, your child is the hero, with their name in the text.

Today was a very special day: Ada’s birthday! Before anyone else was awake, something tapped at the window. Outside floated a red balloon with a map tied to its string.

From up high, the world looked like a toy town. A flock of birds flew alongside Ada, chirping: "This way, birthday child!"

The party wasn't ready yet. The cake, the candles and the music were all missing. "No problem," said Ada. "Then let's do it together!"

Then everyone decorated the tent together: with flower chains, leaf garlands and the colorful balloons Ada had brought along.

There was dancing, laughing and eating cake until the sun turned golden. Nobody had ever been to a birthday party like this.

Frequently asked questions

What gets personalized?

Your child is the hero on every double page – drawn from your photo. The name is on the cover, on the first page and throughout the story.

Which photo works best?

A bright photo where the face is clearly visible, ideally with just your child. Full body is nice but not required. If you don't like the character, simply use another photo.

What happens to the photo?

We only use it to draw the character and delete it right afterwards. Only the drawn character is used for the pages. Books that aren't ordered are deleted after 7 days.

Can I change single pages?

Yes. You flip through the finished book before ordering and can regenerate any picture as often as you like.

How long until the book arrives?

Every book is printed individually and then shipped. Current production and delivery times are on our shipping page.

Can I send the book as a gift?

Yes. Just enter the recipient's address when ordering. No invoice is included; you get it by email.

What does shipping cost for several books?

You pay shipping only once per order, no matter how many books it contains.
